Self-Administration responds to clan demand and releases detainees who had not stained with blood

On Wednesday,12 May, the Self-Administration of North and East of Syria released 43 detainees, including a woman whose hands were not stained with blood in Deir al-Zour, in response to a request by elders and dignitaries of Deir al-Zour. These detainees were arrested previously because of their cooperation with ISIS
As a goodwill gesture by Internal Security Forces in Self-Administration and mediation of elders and dignitaries of tribes and their sponsors, a new opportunity was given to people of the region who had been tricked .The investigation had proved that they did not not stain their hands with blood of Syrians. In addition to giving them a chance to return to their awareness, to serve their community and the region
The ceremony for the release of the detainees was attended by dignitaries, sheikhs of Deir al-Zour clans and representatives of civil institutions, in addition to Public Relations Committee of Deir al-Zour Civil Council, leaders of Syrian Democratic Forces and Internal Security Forces
At the ceremony, the head of the Internal Committee of Deir al-Zour Civil Council, Bassem al-Taif, said : that this initiative was a respect for the demands of the tribal leaders . We also believe that you are the people of this country, in addition to giving them ( detainees )a chance to change themselves, to serve their country and community
al-Taif added: “The Self- Administration and Internal Security Forces will help all people of the region, giving them a chance if they return to bosom of their people and homeland”

For his part, Sheikh Jamil Al-Hafel, thanked Self-Administration, Internal Security Forces and all those who contributed to success of this initiative in releasing of detainees
A member of Legislative Council of Deir al-Zour Civil Council ,Khalaf al-Assaad, called upon those who had been released to return to the right path, to start again, to take advantage of the opportunity granted to them, to serve their community and not to be dragged behind calls that seek to destabilize the region and instigate strife among its people . Al-Assaad called those released to help their people and contribute to protection of their community
Al-Assaad said : since the beginning of Syrian crisis, many authorities have came to power in the region and none of them has granted what the Self-Administration has. Therefore, those released must be good to people who mediated on their behalh and prove to be good sons to serve their people.
It is worth noting that this is not the first time that the Self-Administration releases detainees from Deir al-Zour, where 103 detainees had previously been released following the request and commitment of tribal elders and sheikhs in the region. Self-Administration had also released many detainees in Raqqa, Tabqqa and Minbij in similar cases
