SDC meets many parties to discuss a political solution in Syria

The Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) held on Thursday a series of meetings with political parties in Qamishli city. Those meetings focused on the crises facing Syria due to the ongoing political deadlock and unresolved issues related to the Syrian political solution.

Layla Qaraman, Co-chairwoman of the SDC, and Mahmoud al-Mislat, Co-chairman of the SDC, along with Afram Ishaq, Deputy of the SDC’s Co-chairs, and Hussein Azam, a member of the SDC’s Relations Office, led the SDC’s delegation.

The SDC’s delegation held the first meeting with the SDC’s Conservative Party, where the Party’s members included Suleiman al-Tareibil and Akram Mahshoush, deputies of Secretary General of the Party, as well as Muhammad al-Mifleh, a member of the Party’s Organizational Office.

In a related context, the delegation also met with the National Coordination Body for Democratic Change, where the delegation was received by Ali Saad and Khalaf Dawoud, members of the Body’s Political Office, along with Dirar Farhan al-Nayif, Head of the Body.

Additionally, the delegation met with Haifa Mahmoud and Ibrahim Salaj, Co-chairs of the Modernity and Democracy Party of Syria, along with Lawrence al-Jarba, Anwar Hisso and Dilsha Shalbo, Party’s members.

Also, the delegation held a meeting with Fawzi Shangali, Secretary of the Syrian-Kurdish Democratic Reconciliation Party, along with officials and members of the Party’s offices.

Those meetings addressed issues related to the Syrian situation and the challenges facing Syria. They emphasized the need for all Syrian democratic national powers to engage in constructive dialogues to alleviate the suffering of the Syrian people.

The delegation highlighted the SDC’s efforts to find a solution to the Syrian crisis through the intra-Syrian dialogue, aiming to come up with a shared national vision.

The outcomes of meetings emphasized the importance of continuing cooperation and coordination by Syrian parties across various fields to promote joint activities. The aim is to establish national agreements based on the genuine partnership among Syrian national powers.
