The Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, said that the priority of the forces of SDF is to liberate the occupied areas, headed by Afrin, Sri Kaniye (Ras Al-Ain), Tal Abyad and the rest of the Syrian areas occupied by Turkey and practicing the most terrible violations against their original inhabitants.
That was mentioned during the International Dialogue Forum on “Afrin is between the Turkish occupation and international interests”, which is held under the auspices of the Syrian Democratic Council and Human Rights Organization in Afrin in the northern countryside of Aleppo, in the presence of 90 representatives of organizations and administrations, as well as independent figures in addition to Arab and international political, academic and human rights figures.
The Commander-in-Chief of SDF pointed out that in order to thwart the Turkish occupation projects in the Syrian territory, the Syrian Democratic Forces will do their responsibilities politically, human rights and militarily.
Abdi said that Turkey’s goal in returning Syrian refugees to northern Syria is the demographic change and to change the composition of the region.
“We consider the liberation of the occupied areas such as Sri Kaniye and Afrin is a priority for us,” he said, calling on the Syrian components and the Kurdish people to unite their opinions on the liberation of these areas and the return of their original inhabitants.
Abdi said that Afrin was occupied by an international conspiracy, and political conditions did not allow to do successful steps to liberate it, calling on the United Nations not to become a partner in the processes of the demographic change in Afrin.
He called on the parties and forces to be wary of Turkish policies seeking to consolidate the plan of the demographic change in occupied Afrin by pretext of the humanitarian work in Afrin in order to consolidate the occupation.
