The Turkish occupation army continues to attack various areas of Syrian territory, leaving dozens of victims and wounded including innocent civilians, and targeting infrastructure such as power plants and hospitals in Kobani and Derik, and targeting Al-Makmen area in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, which is more than 70 km from the Turkish border, and also targeting the protection points in Al-Hol camp.
The people of Raqqa city and political actors condemn these crimes committed by the Turkish state against our civilian people in the northeastern Syria, which amount to war crimes, and we emphasize that the Turkish allegations, the latest of which was the explosion that occurred in Istanbul, are unfounded and have nothing to do with reality, but it was a pretext by the Turkish state for aerial bombardment and the threat of a ground invasion of new areas of Syria. Since the beginning of the Syrian uprising, we have become accustomed to plans of the Turkish state by redirecting its internal and economic crises abroad, and saving itself from the difficult situation that the ruling Turkish fascist tyranny has brought it into and standing by its colonial projects instead of dialogue and resolving all outstanding issues that lead to a secure and stable Middle East.
On behalf of the people of Raqqa and the political actors, we extend our deepest condolences to the families of the martyrs, ask God for the speedy recovery of the wounded, hold the continuation of the military operations and the Turkish aerial bombardment and its devastating consequences on the Autonomous Administration areas of the guarantor countries, the United States, Russia and the international coalition responsible, and call on the Security Council, the United Nations and the Arab league to take a deterrent position to confront the Turkish aggression and the Turkish state’s disregard for international laws and its constant threats to carry out a military operation on Syrian territory.
We call on all Syrian national powers to defend every part of Syrian territory.
We also call on the international authorities to impose an air embargo on the areas of northern and eastern Syria at this fateful stage and within this crucial juncture for everyone, and we call on our people in northern and eastern Syria to support the Syrian Democratic Forces against the forces of tyranny and Ottoman fascism as well as we call our people to protect the gains of the Autonomous Administration, which was achieved thanks to the sacrifices of all components of the Syrian people including Arabs, Kurds, Syriacs, Circassians and Turkmens, so their sacrifices were as an offering to live in dignity and freedom in Syrian territory.
