The Flame of Nowruz is Lit in Al-Hasakah with the Participation of the Components of the City

On the occasion of Newroz, the Kurdish New Year, the components of the city of Al-Hasakah lit the flame of Nowruz today, on Monday, at the center of the Syrian Democratic Council, in the city of Al-Hasakah, northeastern Syria, in the presence of representatives of civil institutions, tribal sheikhs, and popular events.

The participants expressed their pleasure about the mixture of rain and the blazing flame which symbolizes Nowruz in addition to the unity of the people in the regions of northeastern Syria.

The participants congratulated all the Syrian people, especially the Kurds in Syria and in all countries of the world, on the occasion of Nowruz, wishing happiness and stability for the Syrian people, and the return of the occupied areas to the homeland.

Sheikh Mizar Al-Kaoud, one of the sheikhs of Al-Jabour tribe, confirmed that Nowruz expresses in its national symbolism many political messages and it represents the beginning of a bright time for all the peoples of the region, congratulating the peoples of the region and calling for the need to unite ranks and efforts to support the Syrian Democratic Council in its pursuit of a political resolution for a new Syria that includes all its components.

In turn, Horo Abjar, who is from the Syriac component, congratulated the Syrian people on the occasion of Nowruz, especially the Kurdish people in Syria and in the world. “We have in the regions of northeastern Syria, historical ties cemented by the unity of our society” he added.

In a related context, the people of the city of Al-Hasakah will attend the celebration of Nowruz tomorrow, with the readiness of the Internal Security Forces and the competent authorities to protect Nowruz celebrations.
