MSDThe Relations Office of the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) met on Sunday with the unions of the democratic society, as well as community elites including leaders, religious figures, jurists, and intellectuals. These meetings were held at the SDC office in Aleppo, as part of ongoing efforts made by the SDC in developing the national path.
The participants in the meetings discussed the latest political developments and their implications for the region. Additionally, they discussed mechanisms and ways to enhance national efforts.
The first meeting was held with the unions of the democratic society. Hassan Muhammad Ali, Co-chairman of the SDC’s Relations Office, highlighted the political complex situation resulting from external interventions.
He emphasized that the Syrian crisis can only be resolved through conducting national Syrian dialogues, overcoming differences, and negotiating a peaceful solution that should be a win-win solution and ensures their rights.
The participants in the second meeting were imams, mosque preachers, members of the religious affairs institution, notables, and dignitaries from Aleppo. They unanimously underscored the necessity of cooperation among Syrian society members, strengthening relations through national dialogues, adhering to religious and ethical standards, and striving for communal unity and peace.
The third meeting involved a group of jurists. During this session, Muhammad Ali underscored the crucial role of lawyers and judges in shaping public policies and laws to safeguard human rights and contribute to justice and stability in Syria.
Furthermore, all the participants in those meetings affirmed that the sole solution to the Syrian crisis lies in the political solution. They expressed their eagerness to continue the national path led by the SDC, recognizing it as a key pillar toward resolving the crisis, achieving political reconciliation, and enhancing national dialogues for the common good.
These meetings are considered as part of the joint efforts made to continue the national path by the SDC. Through these meetings, the SDC aims to strengthen relations among Syrian political actors and facilitate the exchange of ideas to promote understanding and collaboration among various segments of Syrian society.
