Through several meetings organized by the Relations Office of the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC), Hassan Muhammad Ali, Co-chairman of the SDC’s Office, emphasized the significance of the active participation by intellectual elites and political parties in Aleppo and its countryside. This participation aims to strengthen relations and cooperation among Syrians.
During a meeting held on March 25, the majority of political parties and intellectual figures, along with members of the SDC in Aleppo and al-Shahbaa, engaged in a dialogue regarding local, regional and political issues.
Muhammad Ali, highlighted the importance of party engagement and intellectual involvement in fostering collaboration and networking with various Syrian associations, parties, and movements that align with the unified Syrian national vision. The ultimate goal is to end oppression turning it into a state of freedom and dignity. This process involves diverse approaches, ranging from exchanging viewpoints to achieving a comprehensive national dialogue that adheres to fundamental principles such as the Syrian national identity, state neutrality toward religion, and the affirmation of Syria’s territorial and people’s unity.
The intellectual segment of Aleppo’s population attended those meetings. They praised the efforts made by the SDC to address the Syrian crisis in accordance with UN resolutions through the intra-Syrian dialogue aimed at formulating a shared vision. They also called for the inclusion of the SDC in meetings related to the Syrian issue, without excluding any other parties.
Following that, an exceptional meeting was held by the SDC’s Relations Association alongside political parties non-affiliated with the SDC at the SDC’s office in Aleppo. The meeting was attended by most representatives of political parties, along with the Co-chairman of the SDC’s Relations Office.
The meeting included a detailed review of the political situation and the SDC’s role in developing its strategies on the current phase. Also, the purpose of the meeting was to enhance partnerships with political parties, strengthen relations with all Syrians, and foster the openness with Arab countries. Notably, Aleppo was assigned a significant role in this context, being one of Syria’s most important cities.
In a related context, participants in those meetings unanimously emphasized the need to address Syria’s issues and safeguard achievements through the Kurdish-Syrian dialogue. They also underscored the enhancing of the people’s faith in the national cause and advancing democracy.
These meetings were concluded with speeches by representatives of political parties in the countryside of Aleppo, near al-Shahbaa region. The meetings were held in accordance with the SDC’s policies, aiming to ensure the active participation with parties and intellectual elites committed to improving the Syrian society and ending its crisis.
