On August 17 and under the slogan “No to Turkish Threats to Northern Syria, yes for a Safe Syria,” the dialogue forum for tribes and clans of al-Jazeera region (north and east of Syria), began its work to discuss and dialogue about the current challenges, especially the Turkish threats and its attempts to occupy areas east of the Euphrates.
\nUpon the invitation and patronage of the Senate of Northern and Eastern Syria, more than five hundred dignitaries and tribal sheikhs from tribes and clans of al-Jazeera attended the forum, as well as the presence of political parties and Self-Administration institutions of North and East Syria.
\nThe meeting dealt with the political developments and discussed the challenges facing Northern and Eastern Syria, especially the Turkish threats.
\nAfter a discussion of a number of political and social issues, the Forum issued a final statement representing and expressing the position of the tribes in the region.
\nThe statement described the Turkish State’s justifications for invading North and East of Syria as void and contrary to Syrian sovereignty and the relevant international laws and covenants.
\nThe meeting called upon the Syrian people from Horan to Qamishlo to stand united against these threats that will harm all.
\nThe statement also called on the United Nations, the UN Security Council, the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and all human rights organizations to shoulder their responsibilities and work until the end of the Turkish occupation of Syrian territory in Jarablis, al-Bab, Azzaz, Idlib, northern Hama and Latakia, and Afrin that will not rest until a safe return of its original people.
\nThe statement also called on the international coalition led by the United States to restrain Ankara and stop the threat, pointing to the importance of its alliance with the Syrian Democratic Forces, where they were able to end the terrorist organization ISIS militarily and achieve a great victory together.
\nOn the other hand, the statement called on the authority in Damascus to open a serious and responsible dialogue with the Syrian Democratic Council with a view to resolving the Syrian crisis and cutting off every attempt to harm Syrian security and its soil.
\n“The statement concluded ” Finally, we renew the promise to stand with the SDF in the face of the aggressor. Thanks to God, through them we raise our heads, live in security and stability; we boast with Syria for our common living through brotherhood of peoples and the unity of destiny.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
