On August 19, During a visit by a delegation from the Syrian Democratic Council to the sit-in tent set up by community activities in Gree Spey \/ Tel Abyad area , the Co-Chair of SDC said that they want a safe zone to avoid our people the scourge of war and protect them from Turkish threats.
\nThe delegation of the Council included the Co-Chair of the Syrian Democratic Council ,Amina Oemar, the vice of joint presidency ,Gabriel Chamoun, and the joint head of the Office of Public Relations ,Jihad Omar, the joint presidency of the Organization Office ,Leila Kahraman, Hekmat Habib, and members of the offices of the Syrian Democratic Council with big participation of people of Gree Spey \/ Tal Abeyad.
\nMany of the speeches were delivered under the sit-in tent, in which the resistance of the peoples of the region was blessed against the Turkish occupation which is trying to occupy areas in Northeast Syria under false pretexts.
\nIn her turn, the Co-Chair of the Syrian Democratic Council, Amina Omar, delivered a speech in which she praised all efforts exerted by community effots to set up tents to denounce the Turkish threats against Northern and Eastern Syria, pointing to great patriotic spirit of the protesters, which reflects their keenness on the gains achieved by virtue of the sacrifices of the various components of Northern and Eastern Syria to fail all plans of the Turkish state that seeks to destabilize security and stability.
\nAmina Omar stressed that the Turkish state claims the imminent danger on its border security, but everyone knows that its destination is clear and has nothing to do with the truth, and says that YPG is terrorist only in order to achieve its goal and implement its expansion project.
\nAmina Omar praised the experience of Self-Administration, describing it as the leading democratic experiment which proved its success through participation of all components of the regions of North and East of Syria, pointing out that Turkey’s project and its aim from the safe area is to strike this experience and destabilize security and stability.
\nOmar called upon all components of Northern and Eastern Syria and the Syrian people to stand up against Turkish plans and prevent them from occupying more Syrian territories.
\nThe sit-in activity on the Turkish border in the city of Gree Spey \/ Tel Abyad is part of dozens of activities witnessed in various cities and towns in North and East of the country in rejection of the Turkish occupation and its threats launched months ago which are accompanied by increasing military build-up day by day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
