{"id":1353,"date":"2019-10-19T08:12:41","date_gmt":"2019-10-19T08:12:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/m-syria-d.com\/en\/?p=1353"},"modified":"2019-10-19T08:12:42","modified_gmt":"2019-10-19T08:12:42","slug":"statement-issued-by-the-general-command-of-the-syrian-democratic-forces-sdf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/m-syria-d.com\/en\/?p=1353","title":{"rendered":"Statement issued by the General Command of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>19 October 2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The SDF\nagreed to the ceasefire between us and the Turkish state, which was brokered by\nthe United States on 17 October and we committed to it starting from 22:00 hrs.\nHowever, the Turkish side continued its attack in violation of the ceasefire.\nIt also does not allow the opening of a safe corridor to evacuate the wounded\nand civilians, trapped in the city of Ras Al Ain\/Sari Kanyeh, despite the fact\nthat 30 hours have passed since the announcement of the ceasefire. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">US Vice\nPresident, Mr Mike Pence, and US Secretary of State, Mr Mike Pompeo, who\nconcluded the agreement with the Turkish side, have a responsibility to oblige\nTurkey to implement the ceasefire and open the corridor, according to the\nunderstandings with the US side. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despite\nthe constant communication with the American side and the promise made by them\nto solve this problem, there has not been any tangible progress in this regard.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We have\npledged to abide by the ceasefire and continue to abide by it, but at the same\ntime we demand the US side to abide by it and also to pressure the Turkish side\nto open the corridor and allow us to evacuate the wounded and civilians from\ninside the besieged city of Ras Al Ain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">General\nCommand of the SDF<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>19 October 2019 The SDF agreed to the ceasefire between us and the Turkish state, which was brokered by the United States on 17 October and we committed to it starting from 22:00 hrs.
