Under the auspices of the Syrian Democratic Council, the Relations Bureau held a dialogue seminar in the city of Deir ez-Zor in eastern Syria under the slogan \u201cTowards enabling society to control its future in a democratic manner\u201d attended by a group of community figures, politicians and those interested in public affairs, in addition to representatives of some civil administrations and local institutions.<\/strong>
\nThe seminar members discussed Syrian and international affairs. Anas Al-Marfou\u2019, a member of the SDC Relations Committee, began the seminar by explaining the political situation locally and internationally and the impact of the Russian-Ukrainian war, by saying that \u201cAny path taken by the war leaders in Ukraine has an impact on Syria.\u201d<\/strong>
\n\u201cThe parties fighting the war in Ukraine are parties that have overlapping interests in Ukraine and Syria together.\u201d Al-Marfou\u2019 added.<\/strong>
\nOn the purpose of holding that seminar, the organizers explained the aim by saying that \u201cOur goal is to enhance popular participation and rebuild trust among people and the administration, which comes to communicate and listen to opinions and ideas proposed by people and submit them to the concerned authorities, thus spreading benefit and service.\u201d<\/strong>
\nThe attention of the attendees was also focused on discussing the living, economic and service situation, and they demanded improving conditions and supporting the various educational, agricultural and health sectors due to the characteristics of the region and its dependence on agriculture. Some of participations touched on the global crises and their impact on Syria and the region in particular.<\/strong>
\nIn conclusion, the result was establishment an alliance among the various influential and active groups of society, including politicians, dignitaries, independents, organizations and religious leaders to be a representative of all spectrums of the people of Deir ez-Zor, appointing a coordinating body and following up on the effectiveness of this coalition.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Syrian Democratic Council has followed up the situation in Deir ez-Zor, and since the region was liberated from the control of the terrorist organization ISIS in the spring of 2019, the \u201cSDC\u201d has organized dialogue seminars and meetings with representatives of the region, including dignitaries and politicians, to improve the reality of the region, which has suffered from the repercussions of terrorism.<\/strong><\/p>\n
