These floods have caused extensive damage and have further worsened an already fragile humanitarian situation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Reports indicate the tragic death of two children in Ain Issa Camp, located between Idlib and Latakia, as well as the death of two individuals in Al-Asila Camp. Thousands of displaced Syrians living in camps are enduring increasingly dire conditions. Many are now without adequate shelter, exposed to extreme cold, and facing serious risks of disease and epidemics due to flooding and harsh living conditions. This suffering represents a profound humanitarian challenge that demands urgent collective action.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In this context, the SDC issues an urgent appeal to the Interim Authority in Damascus to uphold its humanitarian and legal responsibilities toward all displaced Syrians. This includes taking immediate steps to facilitate the safe return of displaced persons from Afrin, Sere Kaniye (Ras Al-Ain), Tel Abyad, and other regions, and ensuring the necessary protection, care, and support\u2014especially under these emergency circumstances.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The SDC also calls on the international community, particularly UN agencies and relevant humanitarian organizations, to intervene swiftly by providing essential medical, food, and emergency relief assistance.
