The appeal calls for the immediate provision of humanitarian assistance to the Washokani and Sere Kaniye camps in northeast Syria. These camps have suffered severe damage as a result of heavy rainfall, flooding, and harsh weather conditions.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>These camps host thousands of people who were forcibly displaced from the Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain) area. They are now facing a serious humanitarian crisis. Heavy rains have flooded many tents and temporary shelters, placing families in unsafe and extremely difficult conditions. Children, elderly people, and those who are ill are particularly affected. This situation is further worsened by a severe shortage of food supplies and access to health care.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In issuing this urgent appeal, the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) stresses the need for rapid and effective action by all relevant parties to provide the necessary support to the camps. The SDC also emphasizes the importance of the Syrian Interim Government fulfilling its responsibilities regarding the voluntary and safe return of displaced people to their towns and villages. This return must take place in accordance with international humanitarian standards and must guarantee their right to return safely and with dignity.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The SDC also reiterates the importance of providing humanitarian assistance to all Syrians living in camps.
