The operation was accompanied by a military deployment, house raids, and violations against civilians, including women and elderly people. These actions have created an atmosphere of fear and anxiety among local residents.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>These practices are inconsistent with the principles of the rule of law and respect for human rights. They are also incompatible with the requirements of Syria&#8217;s transitional period. This transition should be based on justice and equal citizenship rather than arbitrary arrests or the targeting of any component of the Syrian people under any pretext.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The SDC stresses that the continuation of such violations threatens civil peace, undermines trust among Syrians, and deepens social divisions. This comes at a time when Syria needs to strengthen national partnership and build a democratic state that respects rights and freedoms while safeguarding the dignity of all its citizens.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>While condemning the abuses committed against Kurdish civilians, the SDC firmly rejects any practices that could lead to forced displacement, demographic change, or the use of force to impose new facts on the ground.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Accordingly, the SDC calls for an immediate end to these violations. It also calls for the release of all individuals arbitrarily detained, clarification of their whereabouts, and the launch of an independent and transparent investigation to ensure accountability for those responsible. Furthermore, the SDC urges the protection of civilians and the respect of the rights of all Syrians without discrimination.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A stable and secure Syria can only be built on the principles of the rule of law, justice, accountability, and genuine national partnership. This cannot be achieved through policies of exclusion or intimidation.
