The Directorate of Antiquities and Museums of Afrin District organized a light exhibition entitled ” Call of Civilization” to highlight the violations and practices of the Turkish state against cultural and civilizational property in Afrin.
\nThe exhibition lasted four days in the province of Shahbaa . 48 of light photographs about Afrin show the extent of destruction and damage done to cultural property and archaeological sites in Afrin as a result of Turkish occupation.
\nMany civil institutions and people visited “Call for Civilization” exhibition.The office of Afrin and Alshahba of SDC also visited the exhibition which is considered a window to highlight the suffering of human heritage in Afrin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition ended with a statement by the joint head of the Directorate of Antiquities and Museums in Afrin province, Salah Sino who pointed out that the Turkish state deliberately obliterated and destroyed the cultural and civilizational heritage through destruction of archaeological and historical sites in Afrin.
\nThe statement said that the Turkish state systematically targeted archaeological sites in the framework of a strategy to change everything related to the reality of the region and its indigenous people.
\nThe statement pointed out that the Turkish practices in Afrin are contravened to international laws and protocols of relevant international organization.
\nIn conclusion, the statement appealed to the Security Council, the United Nations and relevant international organizations such as UNESCO to activate their decisions, conventions and charters, which consider Turkey as part of them , to stop violations of archaeological sites and prosecute those who are responsible for these crimes, as these sites belong to mankind and are not exclusive to Afrin region .<\/p>\n\n\n\n
