The peoples of North and East of Syria expressed their refusal for excluding their representatives and not involving them in drafting of a new constitution for their country. The constitution that meets the aspirations of all components.Those people protested through large-scale marches under the slogan ” the Constitution that We Do Not Participate in, We Will Not Abide by it .”
The first march launched from the city of Qamishlo, with participation of a large mass of people, civil society institutions, self-administration and political parties, as well as participation of the Syrian Democratic Council.
Residents who raised pictures of their sons who martyred in their war against ISIS, gathered in front of the UN building in the city, where many words were read by self-administration and political parties denouncing the exclusion of the representatives of north and east of Syria from the constitutional committee.
Whereas the second march started in the town of Jalabiya in Kobani countryside, and headed towards the headquarter of the international coalition to fight ISIS located near the town of Jalabiya.
The march was attended by people of the Euphrates basin of Raqqa, Tabqa, Manbij, Deir Al Zour and Kobani in all their social, political formations and clans, in addition to a delegation from the Syrian Democratic Council headed by the co-president Amina Omar.
Many speeches were read during the protest ceremonies, including the word of self-administration, the Future Syria Party and the Euphrates clans.
The Co-Chair Amina Omar also delivered a speech emphasizing the determination of the Syrian Democratic Council to continue the approach it shares with all democratic powers that believe in the Syrian-Syrian solution through dialogue and negotiation away from exclusion and external dictates.
During the speech, the joint president mentioned the efforts of the Syrian Democratic Council to establish security and stability to end the Syrian crisis and achieve democratic change that meets the aspirations of all Syrian components.
She concluded by calling on the United Nations and the International Coalition to review their attitudes towards the structure of the Constitutional Commission to achieve justice, equality and democracy.
