Telegraph of Consolation

Wael al-Saud, a 9-year-old Syrian child , committed suicide in Kartaba district in northwestern Turkey. He was a fifth-grade student living with his family who had sought refuge in Turkey as a result of the war in Syria. According to reported information, Wael committef suicide after he suffered from psychological violence in Turkish schools because of his Syrian affiliation and his exposure to repeated discrimination. This is what most Syrian refugees in various countries of asylum in the region are subjected to. The prolonged Syrian crisis, absence of solution and ensuring the safe return for the Syrians to their country contributed in deterioration of their psychlogical spiritual conditions especially in Turkey which has recently taken a series of stances against the Syrian presence on its territory, prompting them to return unplannedly without any guarantees for their security and safety, putting them into vortex of ongoing conflict and devoting agendas of demographic change. Increasing of discrimination against Syrians in Turkey comes as a result of systematic mobilization by Turkish government . We at the Syrian Democratic Council, offer our deepest condolences to family of Wael Saud, calling on all Syrians who can return to their areas to return as soon as possible and contribute effectively in bringing peace and stability to Syria.
