A political symposium on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of establishment of SDC in Hasakeh

December 9th coincided with the fourth anniversary of establishment of the Syrian Democratic Council. On this occasion, the Women’s Office organized a political seminar in the city of Hasakeh in the presence of civil institutions, political parties, and women’s activities.The symposium was about the main stations that Syria and the regions of Northern and Eastern Syria went through and the reasons that necessitated to formation of a political entity in the name of the Syrian Democratic Council to be the holder of a pan-Syrian national project.
During the seminar, the co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council ,Amina Omar, spoke about the conditions that preceded launching of the Syrian Democratic Council, whether on field or on political level, and the challenges that faced Syria and led entirety to establish the Syrian Democratic Council.
In addition to the career of the Syrian Democratic Council and its most important stations, the co-chair of SDC spoke about the national steadfastness that distinguished the Syrian Democratic Council as a national entity that is careful about Syria as homeland and as people.
The co-chair, Amina Omar, reviewed the approach taken by the Syrian Democratic Council to resolve the Syrian crisis, to end the sufferings of the Syrian components and achieve their aspirations for change and democracy, through societal dialogue based on participatory and political pluralism.
On the political process and the courses of solution, Omar said that the project of the Syrian Democratic Council is in line with the demands of the Syrian components that came out nine years ago, stressing that the Turkish presence in north of Syria disrupted the political process and brought disasters to the Syrian people.
The co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council, Amina Omar, concluded her speech about the Turkish occupation of the Sere Kaniye / Ras al-Ain and Tal Abyad regions, saying that the Turkish state has expansionist ambitions and its goals go beyond the geography of its neighborhood, so the international community must deter it, as well as the Syrian people have to face it and get it out from Syrian lands.
There was also a video show about the career of the Syrian Democratic Council since its establishment and the most important stations it went through, as well as the attendees expressed their views about MSD project and the political solution to the Syrian crisis.
