The Executive Body of the SDC Congratulates the New Head of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration

The Executive Body of the Syrian Democratic Council congratulated Mr. Hussein Othman on assuming the co-presidency of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration in northeastern Syria. The congratulations were extended during a visit to the Autonomous Administration building in Raqqa on Wednesday.

The delegation of the Syrian Democratic Council included the Co-chairwoman of the council, Amina Omar, and the Chairwoman of the Executive Body, Ilham Ahmed, along with a member of the Executive Body, Dr. Ghassan Al-Youssef.
They were received by the Co-presidency of the Executive Council, Hussein Othman, and Berivan Khalid, as well as their deputies, and the Co-chairs of the General Council, Fareed Ati and Siham Qiryo.

During the visit, Hussein Othman praised the role played by the Syrian Democratic Council as a political front for unifying Syrian perspectives and promoting the model of the Autonomous Administration as a democratic project in Syrian and international forums.
Amina Omar, the Co-chairwoman of the Syrian Democratic Council, pointed out the support for the project of the Autonomous Administration undertaken by the Syrian Democratic Council, which bears significant responsibilities in serving Syrians in this critical phase of Syria’s history.

Ilham Ahmed, the Chairwoman of the Executive Body, wished success to the Co-chairman in his new duties, emphasizing the importance of the administrative aspect and service projects that lead to acceptance and political dimensions, relying on what the administration has achieved and it will accomplish in the future.

During the visit, discussions took place to enhance the pace of work in the upcoming stages and increase coordination. It is worth mentioning that Mr. Hussein Othman assumed his duties as Co-chairman of the Executive Council on Tuesday, May 23rd, 2023, following the approval of the General Council during its regular session number 77.
