Layla Qaraman, Co-chairwoman of the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC), received on Wednesday a delegation of the Executive Council of Raqqa Region at the SDC’s headquarters in Raqqa. The purpose of the meeting was to extend congratulations to the new Co-chairs of the SDC.
The visiting delegation was represented by Hevin Ismail, Co-chairwoman of the Executive Council, and the deputies Co-chairs of the Presidential Body. They were warmly received by both Qaraman and Amal Dada, Co-chairwoman of the SDC’s Relations Office, along with Jihan Khedro, Chairwoman of the Women’s Office.
During the meeting, the delegation discussed the current conditions and challenges faced by Syria. Those challenges escalated in light of the repeated Turkish attacks and attempts to undermine the model of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) which is the sole democratic project seeking a Syrian political solution.
The Executive Council delegation presented an honor shield as an expression of congratulations to the new Co-chairs of the SDC. The delegation members wished success and prosperity for the SDC’s upcoming endeavors.
