A delegation from the Syrian Democratic Council (MSD) participated in the celebration of QSD victory on terrorism organized by the Democratic Self-Administration of North and East of Syria at Newroz Hall near the city of Kobany on Monday 8/4/2019.The delegation included the joint presidency, Amina Omar, the chairwoman of the Executive Body , Elham Ahmed, the joint chair of the Office of Relations ,Jihad Omar, and a member of the presidential council of the Syria Democratic Council , Hassan Mohamed Ali.
The ceremony was attended by the Commander-in-Chief of the Syria Democratic Forces ,Mazloum Abdi, former French Foreign Minister, Bernard Kouchner, military commanders of the International Coalition Forces and the joint presidency of the Executive Council of North and East of Syrian Autonomous Region ,Abd Hamid Al-Mahbash and Perivan Khalid , representatives of Self-administration and the city in northern and eastern Syria, and a number of Arab sheikhs in northern Syria
Many speeches were given, including the speech of Self-Administration Of North and East of Syria delivered by Abd Hamed Al-Mahbash saying:” The price of liberation and the elimination of ISIS was expensive. We provided 11,000 martyrs and 21,000 of the wounded from Syrians people in the war on terrorism in north and east of Syria in past few years”. There are important and religious festivals and events celebrated by the people, but victory over terrorism has another euphoria and triumph over cross-border terrorism and continents is a great achievement
The Commander-in-Chief of the Syria Democratic Forces ,Mazloum Abdi, said in his speech that the victory is due to the sacrifices of the martyrs and the solidarity of the people who resisted and fought by various means on the fronts of fighting starting with the war against mercenary groups with all their names which attacked our areas reaching to ISIS and eliminating it
Abdi also spoke about the role of Peshmerga from Southern Kurdistan and their stand alongside with their brothers in the war against terrorism, as well as the international fighters who came from different countries of the world and the international coalition led by the United States of America, saying that “cooperation of efforts have led to the elimination of ISIS
Former French Foreign Minister, Bernard Kouchner, made a speech in which he said: “You have fought the terrorism that threatened the whole world. Our hearts and eyes have been transformed for years into your guns in this city, Kobani, where we are, a battle that you have won, is not ended yet, we will stand by your side to get rid of this ordeal to the end”
At the end of the celebration, the self-administration of North and East of Syria handed over commemorative shields to the representatives of the Martyrs’ Families Foundation, the War Injuries Foundation, the Internal Security Forces, the Women’s Protection Forces, the People’s Protection Forces, the Syria Democratic Forces and the International Alliance
