bhzad janRepresentation of the Syrian Democratic Council (MSD) in Washington met with a number of members of the US Congress from the two main parties, as part of Washington’s representation campaign to mobilize the American public opinion about the real intentions of the Turkish state and its mercenaries in its aggression over areas of north and east of Syria.
In this context, MSD Representative in Washington, Sinem Mohammed, as well as Bassam Saqr and Bassam Ishaq met with House of Representatives member and Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Congress, Elliot Angel, and the Senate member Mr. Jane Shaheen. In addition to Scot Biri from Republican Party in US House of Representatives plus a number of members of Congress.
Members of Congress expressed their support for components of north and east of Syria, praised the SDF, which fought terrorism and was an ally of the United States.
Members of Congress also expressed their condemnation of the Turkish aggression on areas of north and east of Syria, which targets its components from Kurds, Arabs, Syriacs, Assyrians and other people of the region.
In this regard, members of the US Congress stressed to follow up and exert all forms of pressure to impose sanctions on Turkish state and punish it for doing so.
In a related context about the humanitarian situation and documentation of crimes committed by the Turkish attack on north and east Syria, the Washington Representation met in a round table discussion with the Center for Strategic Studies and talked about the humanitarian side.
Since the beginning of the Turkish invasion and its mercenaries on areas of north and east of Syria, the representation of the Syrian Democratic Council in Washington met with many officials, members of the House of Representatives, the US Senate and a number of research centers and studies to put the American public opinion in the image of proceedings away from the official Turkish novel that distorts the facts.
