Statement to the public opinion

Based on the initiative launched by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to unify the Kurdish political discourse in Syria and build an actual partnership between the Self-Administration and the Kurdish National Council in Syria (KNC), and because of our belief in the importance of this initiative in serving the public interest, we announce that there is no legal obstacle to the Kurdish National Council in Syria (KNC) in order to open his organizational and party offices and engage in it’s political, media and social activities without the need for any prior security approvals this in order to remove all obstacles to the process of rebuilding trust for all political and administrative activities.
We also announce the drop of cases that were brought before the judiciary against the personalities and leaders of the Kurdish National Council residing outside the country without any exception. We also confirm that there is no obstacle in front of them to return to Rojava and the North and East of Syria and to exercise their activities in full freedom. There will be no legal prosecution for any reason prior to the date of the publication of this statement. Regarding the settlement of the file of prisoners and absentees, we received a list of ten names submitted by the Presidency of the Kurdish National Council (KNC) in Syria to the leadership of the SDF on December 15. We have formed a specialized committee to investigate the file and we will share all the results of the committee’s investigation with the Kurdish National Council and the leadership of SDF as soon as possible.

This statement is effective from the date of its issuance.
