MSDIn light of the acceleration of outbreak of new Corona virus and its spread around the world and the danger it poses to the human race, the Syrian government announced a single case infection of Corona Virus coming from outside the country, and in light of the strong interactions with which the Syrian government is associated with Iran and maintaining movement of airports and borders that are open with neighboring countries, which is dangerous for the country, especially since all medical studies available so far confirm that incubation of human body for the virus is estimated for two weeks without appearance of any early symptoms.
Likewise, with the outbreak of the virus in Turkish occupation state, the possibility of a major outbreak in Syrian lands under theTurkish occupation, and there are serious concerns with the failure of Turkish occupation authorities to take necessary procedures to protect Afrin region, which the occupation had previously targeted the population structure systematically, as well as it targeted Tal Abyad / Gre Spi, Sri Kanyie/ Ras al-Ain, Jarablus, Azaz and Idlib, our fears are increasing seriously, with the Turkish authorities deliberately cutting off water again from city of Hassakeh in conjunction with implementation of health embargo procedures.
The movement among Syrian cities and towns still continues, which increases the possibility of the virus spread to all parts of Syria, especially since the camps for displaced persons and refugees in the regions of N-E Syria are the most likely places to become the epicenter of the epidemic if it spreads, as it will be difficult to implement the conditions of embargo and prevention because of massive population.
Based on above information and data, and because the life of Syrian people remains the most precious of what we have and the most important thing we have, and in order to preserve safety and health of Syrian citizens, we in the Syrian Democratic Council demand Syrian government to deal with full responsibility and transparency in this regard, we invite it to cooperate with Health Committee of Self- Administration of N-E Syria. We call on all Syrians to provide what is necessary to cut the road in front of this scourge in the country.
We also urge the United Nations with all its specialized organizations to carry out its humanitarian duty in the camps, and work to open border crossings for humanitarian and medical aid, especially Yarubiya border crossing. We also appeal to international organizations concerned to carry out their ethical and humanitarian responsibilities by providing expertise, medical and preventive assistance that are necessary to prevent the spread of this virus in Syria.
We also value the response of Self-Administation of N-E Syria to this danger, we recommend all its specialized institutions to complete the necessary precautionary steps, we urge the citizens to abide by decisions issued by Self-Administration and its institutions concerned in this regard, and take all methods of prevention and self-protection to prevent spread of the virus.
