MSDA year has passed since the final decision in Al-Baghuz, but the first decision was in Kobani, where the banner of resistance that dazzled the world and made it stand beside the bright right, and with the self-defense that gave this era its feature in resisting and defeating terrorism. Then, there was alliance with the SDF that had achievements and chased the most dangerous and fiercest enemy known to the peoples of the region and the world. This achievement was done as a result of the struggle of people and their organized revolutionary powers, which gave the best example of brotherhood and unity of peoples.
The great sacrifices made by the People’s Protection Units and the Women’s Protection Units, in full harmony with Arab forces, Assyrian and Syriacs, led to great results in Al-Baghouz, which was the last stage of military achievement that ended the terrorist organization ISIS militarily and eliminated the alleged caliphate state. Thanks should be offeref to those fighters who had worked to satisfaction of their consciences, and affirmed their belonging to spirit of redemption and to good loyalty of motherland and nation, and people who had faith in them.
The leaders behind this great victory must be thanked for their perseverance, pursuit, and vigilance over unity of path, goal sincerity, and had faith that victory is coming and that great issues must be struggled by great men, who were the best representative of such victory.
We must thank the families that pushed their children to duty of self-defense and waited patiently for their return triumphant victors, and when they returned martyrs, they considered them with their Lord and represented His saying that they are immortal and alive, their families are entitled to pride. These are the generosity of people. This country in which we seek to achieve happiness of generations in stability, unity, cohesion and in building a democratic, decentralized state in which freedoms, equality among peoples and justice for all are achieved.
After accomplishing military victory, our regions went through major challenges that had to be faced, such as the remnants and sleeper cells that still need security confrontations and they did not stop and continue.The Turkish ambitions, in turn, occupied new areas in Ras Al-Ain and Tal Abyad with an unfortunate agreement with the American allies, after repeated and unjustified withdrawals, It was preceded by a Turkish-Russian agreement in Afrin, which means that the interests of major countries work without calculating the interests of people. We must defend our rights, and draw our policies in which we preserve our interests in decisive battle of existence. We should liberate the areas from existing and probable enemoes, and building strong administration that could withstand woth all political, economic and military benefits. We have great responsibilities that must be pursued in order to reach a Syrian state with a new decentralized democratic system, represented by local self-administrations that achieve development, stability, dedicate unity and cohesion. This is a political task that must be sought to succeed in it, as the leaders and soldiers have done and will continue to protect the achievements.
This memory was blessed, the hands working to achieve the goals were blessed, all appreciation for the wounded and the injured to be a high example in society, and they participate again in building it and continuing to give.
We in the Syrian Democratic Council, remember this great occasion, bless all efforts that were made to achieve this victory and confirm that we are moving forward to achieve our project in building a democratic decentralized Syria.
