The Syrian Democratic Council

“The Autonomous Administration has achieved a great victory, and it must make a double effort in the next stage” Ilham Ahmed Said.

Ilham Ahmed, the Chairwoman of the Executive Body of the Syrian Democratic Council, said that “the Autonomous Administration has achieved a great victory by its achievements and it must make a double effort in the next stage” and that what distinguishes this experience is a focus on work and getting close to the masses and achieving harmony among the components and “it is our basic and strategic project that we are working on to generalize it to the entire Syrian territories.”

This was during the annual meeting of the Autonomous Administration of North and East of Syria to discuss the work accomplished during the past year and to develop an action plan for 2022, where the Chairwoman of the Executive Body of the Syrian Democratic Council, Ilham Ahmed, delivered a speech at the conclusion of the two-day meeting, which she started with the most prominent developments, events and the attack on Al-Hasakah prison. She added that “the attack campaign on Al-Hasakah prison was the plan of the second announcement about ISIS, and the targeting of al-Baghdadi’s Caliph in Idlib by the coalition and the control of the prison by the Syrian Democratic Forces was an obvious message.”
“The fight against terrorism is not only done militarily, but rather is cultural and social, and the martyrs who were presented are sacrifices for the continued stability of the region,” she added.
Ahmed pointed out the second challenge, which is the Turkish occupation state and its targeting of northern and eastern Syria, and its attacks coincided with the activity of the terrorist organization in Al-Hasakah in which she said that “ the Turkish state continues its war to target our regions, service centers and infrastructures to keep away its interior crises” and “the factions supported by the Turkish state are not moderate, but they are ISIS and al-Qaeda, and investigations have proven that the plan to attack Al-Hasakah prison began from Ras al-Ain.”

Ahmed stated that the authority in Damascus, through its media and official discourse, targets the region and its components, and that they are in the Syrian Democratic Council are working to preserve the gains of the Syrian people and achieve democratic transition.
Ilham Ahmed concluded her speech by praising the prominent role of the Syrian Democratic Forces in confronting and combating terrorism and the strategic role of women in correcting the path of Autonomous Administration by empowering them and involving them in decision-making.
