“The Democratic Syria” Center organizes a seminar on the late thinker, Jawdat Saeed, in Austria

In the Austrian capital Vienna, “The Democratic Syria Center” organized a dialogue seminar for talking about the late Syrian thinker, Jawdat Saeed, his intellectual influence and his role in society.

Syrian, political and social figures participated in the seminar, in which the co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council, Riyadh Dirar, who resides in Austria, presented an overview of the life of the Syrian thinker Jawdat Saeed and his intellectual influence.

Dirar reviewed a review of the late thinker’s book “Until they change what is in themselves”, the path of nonviolence and the method of moderation and renunciation of violence advocated by Jawdat Saeed.

Over his long life, Jawdat Saeed left a literary and intellectual impact, as he authored many books, most notably “Until they change what is in themselves”, “Loss of the Social Balance” and the book “The Doctrine of the First Son of Adam” which was published in the late sixties of the last century, and was known for his “non-violence and civilian demand” in which Saeed died in late January in Istanbul.

During the participations of the attendees, the seminar also touched on the recent events that erupted in the city of Al-Hasakah in northeastern Syria after the global terrorist organization ISIS attacked Al-Sina’a prison, where the Syrian Democratic Forces were holding more than 4,500 ISIS members and leaders, most of whom are of foreign nationalities.

The “Democratic Syria Center” was opened in September 2021 in the Austrian capital Vienna, where it presents various activities and events in which Syrians meet, dialogue to establish consensus and conduct intellectual and political approaches, sponsored by the Syrian Democratic Council.
Seminars, monthly lectures and weekly dialogue sessions are held under the name “A Round Table”.
