The session which was held on the occasion of the eleventh anniversary of the start of the Syrian Revolution, raised questions about the causes of its outbreak, its consequences and discussed possible solutions during the regional and international crisis.
The administrator the Women’s Bureau, Janda Muhammed, talked about the subjective and objective reasons that led to the launch of the popular movement in Syria eleven years ago, where the domination of the one-party regime that obliterated and worked to weaken all the components and diversity of Syria within the one system which is tyranny.
Muhammed added that regional interventions regarding the Syrian file is one of the reasons for the deviation of the revolution from its peaceful path towards armament and the seizure of political Islam on the scene.
The societies considered that the ruling regime of central tyranny is the main cause of the outbreak of the revolution and that the fragmentation of the Opposition and the dependence of some of it abroad and for the influence of regional states; led to prolong its period, and during which the Syrian people suffered both things.
In another theme, the session discussed the results and impact of the eleven-year war on Syrian women, especially in the areas occupied by Turkey and radical factions, where they are subjected to various forms of persecution and daily practices and violations.
On the other hand, the session shed light on another unique experience of women in the regions of northern and eastern Syria, where they were able to achieve a lot and have an important role in all fields, including management and leadership.
The session was concluded with a discussion of the possibilities of correcting the path of the revolution, where they considered that after correcting the revolution, they should move toward the internal dialogue among Syrians, especially the Democratic Opposition and forming a united front leading the desired change towards a democratic, pluralistic and decentralized Syria.
