The Executive Body of the “SDC” meets with the “Green Idlib Council”

On Wednesday, March 16th, Elham Ahmed, a chairwoman of the Executive Body of the Syrian Democratic Council, met with a delegation of political and military leaders from the Idlib Green Council and the Northern Democratic Brigade at the SDC Center in Raqqa.

The delegation included Haitham Al-Abdullah, a Co-chairman of the Green Idlib Council, Ahmed Shawa, a director of the Political Bureau of the council, Abu Omar Al-Idlibi, the leader of the Northern Democratic Brigade, and in return, Ali Rahmon, a member of the Presidential Council, Abd Al-Qader Al-muwahad, a chairman of the Organization Bureau of the SDC, Jian Mulla and Kamil Hazbar, members of the Relations Bureau, attended the meeting.

The meeting members discussed the latest political developments and the repercussions of the Russian-Ukrainian war and its impact on the Syrian scene, and called for concerted efforts of Syrians to find a comprehensive settlement, so that “All Syrian Democratic Forces face a historical responsibility and they must work to correct the path of the Syrian Revolution to coincide with the eleventh anniversary of its launch.”

The meeting focused on three items, the first of which was the formulation of a strong strategy among the Syrian Democratic Council on the one hand, and the Syrian Democratic Forces, including the Green Idlib Council, as the Council being a supporter and has a comprehensive Syrian national project.
While the other items were discussed for formation a political body to represent the Green Idlib Council within the structure of the Syrian Democratic Council and work to expand and develop the Green Idlib Council and support it politically.

It is noteworthy that the meeting was preceded by several coordination meetings between the two parties, starting the Women’s Bureau and Relations Bureau to the level of the Executive Body, so meetings and works will continue in the path led by the “SDC” to unify the Syrian Democratic Forces and find a sustainable political solution.
