92 organizations, associations, centers and bodies condemned the crimes committed by the Turkish military against the areas of northern Syria, starting from the town of Al-Qahtaniya (Terbah speyah) in the countryside of the city of Al-Qamishli to the occupied city of Afrin, and considered them as crimes against humanity, as various types of weapons were used on the territory of a neighboring country.
These Turkish attacks with the factions loyal to them resulted in the death of a number of civilian citizens, including children, targeting government powers’ points, the outbreak of fires, and significant material damage to residential buildings and the Kobani hospital, in addition to shops, stores and cars due to the intensity of shelling and the force of explosions.
This was during a joint human rights statement signed by these organizations, associations and associations concerned with human rights, which all constitute the so-called “Syrian Federation of Human Rights Organizations and Bodies” issued on Wednesday, August 17th, 2022 in the Syrian capital Damascus.
The statement condemned the Turkish brutal attack on Syrian citizens, the latest of which was on Tuesday, and considered it as crimes against humanity that are the same criminal crimes condemned by international charters and laws, most notably the UN General Assembly resolutions with the numbers /2131/, / 2625/, / 2734/, / 3314 /, /155/, /32/, /103/ and /39/ for the years 1965, 1970, 1970, 1974, 1977 and 1981.
The statement called on the international community, the international human rights council and all regional and international governmental and non-governmental organizations and bodies to take their historical responsibilities and not to remain silent about the attacks and massacres to which Syrians were subjected also, they should hold the perpetrators accountable to prevent the deterioration of the situation in Syria and the peoples of the region.
In conclusion, the Administrative Commission of the Syrian Federation for Human Rights addressed the Security Council, the United Nations and all relevant human rights institutions in order to exert all serious and effective pressure on the occupied Turkish government and stop its aggression, also Turkey must withdraw from Syrian territory Immediately and unconditionally, exposing the dangers of the Turkish occupation ,displacements and demographic change also, they should investigate and document crimes and hold perpetrators accountable.
