Political parties in Aleppo condemn Turkish practices and call on the Syrian government to fulfill its duties

The political parties in the Al-Sheikh Maqsoud and Al-Ashrafiyeh neighborhoods of Aleppo called on the Syrian government, the concerned parties and guarantors of security to carry out their duties and assume their international responsibilities, by a statement made by the parties on August 25th to condemn the massacre committed by the Turkish state in the city of Tel Rifaat yesterday.

“The sequence of attacks on civil areas and neighborhoods in the Syrian territory amounts to war crimes, and these practices and attacks are the methodology and aggressiveness of the Turkish occupation, as it increased the frequency of its bombing after the Sochi and Tehran summit, as it carries out its attacks and crimes according to a systematic extermination system affecting everyone who resists and struggles for dignity and free will rejecting the occupation in the region,” the statement said.

”The bloody shelling launched by the Turkish occupation on the city of Tel Rifaat targeting a natural gathering within the city center that injured children and women and caused innocent victims indicates its political and intellectual failure towards the will of the peoples in the region, and this attack reflects its hatred and arrogance in dealing with its surroundings, which it found no method except passing its attacks and following the approach of killing and displacement in an attempt to obliterate the will and freedom of society in Syria.” the statement continued.

The political parties in the neighborhood condemned the practices of the Turkish occupation through the statement. “We categorically reject and condemn these practices and the presence of the occupier on the territories of Syria, and we insist on the approach of resistance and uprooting the occupier from our territory intellectually, politically and militarily” political parties said.

“We hold the concerned parties and the guarantors of security responsible for the security that they have tolerated, which has killed dozens of civilians, including martyrs and wounded, and we call on them to carry out their duties and assume their international responsibilities, especially the Syrian government,” the statement added.

“We condemn the international silence and the silence of the UN Security Council, which is concerned with consolidating and maintaining international peace and security, about these systematic crimes by the Turkish occupation in the region, flouting all norms, conventions and international and humanitarian laws. Our people sacrify their sons as martyrs every day, and we consider any tolerance and silence towards these attacks and crimes is tantamount to complicity and acceptance of these coercive practices that are contrary to all principles, values and humanitarian norms and international laws.” The statement said.
