During Al-Qamishli Consultative Forum, which was held on Friday, September 16th, and it will last for two days, Syrians of different political affiliations discussed the importance of the political resolution for the Syrian crisis that has been going on since 2011.
During the forum, Hassan Muhammad Ali, a member of the Preparatory Committee’s Bureau and the Co-Chairman of the Relations Bureau of the SDC, presented a political paper that discussed an extensive explanation of the Syrian crisis, its complexities, and the dispersal of opposition powers.
The paper indicated the absence of prospects for the resolution for the Syrian crisis due to regional and international conflicts in Syria, in the absence of the political will of the Syrian people in international meetings.
In turn, Ziyad Watfa, a member of the Preparatory Committee for the Conference of Democratic Figures and Powers, said that “The Geneva talks did not provide any political resolution for the crisis of the Syrian people”.
“If we believe that the foreign political process has ended, we must identify the reasons for its failure, which is the exclusion of many national powers and the absence of a real political will for the resolution” Watfa added.
The member of the Preparatory Committee pointed out the necessity for setting a Syrian national forum, and that the “SDC” should be a part of it towards a comprehensive national umbrella.
The participants in the forum also pointed out the need for a political resolution for the Syrian crisis based on the intra-Syrian dialogue, representing all political powers without exclusion.
