The Syrian Democratic Council and members of the Foreign Relations Bureau of the Austrian parliament discussed the Syrian crisis and efforts to resolve it in a way that achieves the aspirations of the Syrian people in accordance with international paths and Syrian efforts.
A member of the Relations Bureau of the Syrian Democratic Council, Salah farho, met with a member of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Austrian parliament and the spokesman of the NEOS party for Foreign Relations, Mr. Helmut Brandstatter, in the Austrian capital Vienna.
The two sides discussed ways to resolve the Syrian crisis, noting the importance of resolving it through dialogue and communication among Syrians during the regional and international challenges that are being experienced in the region in general.
The meeting also discussed the security challenges that are being faced in the regions of northern and eastern Syria during the Turkish interventions and its constant threats to the region, which has faced and continues to face the most dangerous terrorist organization that threatens the international peace and security.
The member of the “SDC” Relations Bureau explained bad security and economic conditions in the region due to the continued danger of the terrorist organization (ISIS), in addition to the challenges facing the region by Al-Hol camp, where thousands of families live in, and most of them are families of ISIS.
The two sides discussed the existing project of the Autonomous Administration in the north and east of Syria and its adaptation to the Syrian situation, in which that project is characterized by diversity and pluralism, and its need at the same time for support by the European community in general and the Austrian community in particular.
In order to get a closer look at the reality of the regions of north and east Syria and the Autonomous Administration project; a member of the SDC Relations Bureau invited Mr. Brandstatter to visit these regions and in turn, he welcomed this invitation and stressed the importance of informing the European community about this experience and supporting it.
