The Syrian Democratic Council

“Women must have a role and a real participation in politics to find resolutions for the Syrian crisis” Amina Omar said.

The Co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council, Amina Omar, spoke during the Syrian feminist dialogue meeting in the city of Aleppo about the Syrian crisis and the reasons that prolonged the crisis and increased the plight of Syrians.

She explained that since the beginning of the Syrian crisis, some parties still adhere to the military resolution, which led to more destruction and killing, and thus delaying the political resolution that all Syrians want.

She pointed out the importance of continuing to seek a resolution for the crisis, especially Syrian women, as women are the most suffering people, so a real vision should be presented to all Syrian women to find the appropriate resolution for the Syrian crisis.

She also talked about the futility of resolutions provided by foreign parties because they are affiliated to agendas and goals which don’t belong to the resolution that Syrians want.

At the end of her participation, she called for the need for continuity in communication and the establishment of initiatives to become an actual role for women in all fields because they have been marginalized during the successive regimes, so they must have their role in real participation in politics and finding resolutions for the Syrian crisis, and for shaping the landmarks of new Syria.
