Under the slogan
“No for the rapprochement of the Turkish and Syrian regimes with the terrorists of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (formerly al-Nusra Front). The dialogue forum was held under the auspices of the Syrian Democratic Council on November 9th, 2022 in Akhin Hall for Culture and Art in Fafin, in the area of al-Shahba.
The forum included three themes which are as following:
1- The reality of the Turkish state and the terrorists of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (al-Nusra Front) on the Syrian crisis.
2- The implications of the Turkish-Syrian rapprochement and the terrorists of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (al-Nusra Front) on the Syrian reality.
3- The position of the Syrian people and the international community towards Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham.
The forum was attended by the Autonomous Administration institutions in Afrin region, representatives of parties and political powers, dignitaries, tribal sheikhs, intellectuals and lawyers, with the participation of academic figures and political activists from the Syrian governorates.
At the end of the forum, the participants agreed on several outcomes of the forum to serve as recommendations, namely:
1- Emphasizing the unity of the Syrian territories and working and striving to liberate all occupied Syrian territories from all forms of terrorism.
2- The participants emphasized that Turkey is an occupying power and the main supporter of terrorism in Syria.
3 – All the mercenary factions of all names, which are located in the occupied part of the Syrian territory by the Turkish state, have nothing to do with Islam, but rather represent terrorism through the actions and violations they practice, which have risen to the level of war crimes, according to international reports.
4- Sending an invitation to the dignitaries of the clans and national figures in the occupied areas to support the Syrian Democratic Council due to the existence of a project aimed at resolving the Syrian crisis.
5- An appeal to the international community, international institutions and bodies, foremost of which is the United Nations and the Security Council concerned with maintaining international peace and security, to fulfill their obligations towards Member States in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations and to issue the necessary decisions to combat terrorism and eliminate it in the territories of the presence of terrorists.
6- We call on the international community to support the intra-Syrian political dialogues, and the importance of representing all Syrian parties in order to reach a resolution in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 2254 to pave the way for a comprehensive political resolution.
7- We call on the Syrian Democratic Forces and the international coalition to liberate all occupied areas from the Turkish occupation and the mercenaries of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham and the armed groups who turned the occupied areas into a hotbed of terrorism.
8- We also call on the honorable patriots in the occupied territories to unite the ranks and stand in the face of the expansion of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (formerly al-Nusra Front), because it represents and implements the ambitions of the occupying Turkish state.
9- The Turkish-Syrian rapprochement will not be a resolution for the Syrian crisis, so the Syrian government should not establish relations with the Turkish regime that supports Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham and it should work with the Syrian people with all its components to resolve the Syrian crisis.
10- Call for intensifying serious dialogues between the Autonomous Administration and the Syrian government to reach serious resolutions to end the Syrian crisis.
11- Demanding the cancellation of the Adana agreement on security between Syria and Turkey.
