MSDThe Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, “Mazloum Abdi,” said that after four years of occupying the city of Afrin and committing all forms of violations there, the Turkish state is trying through Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly al-Nusra Front) to pass its policies and achieve its goals in implementing its expansionist colonial projects and occupying other parts of Syrian territory.
The speech of the Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces came during a dialogue forum organized by the Syrian Democratic Council on Wednesday, November 9th, under the title “No for the rapprochement of the Turkish and Syrian regimes with the terrorists of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, yes for a democratic Syria” at the Culture and Art Center in the Fafin District of al-Shahbaa, in the presence of political figures from inside Syria, elders and notables of the tribes of the region, as well as representatives of political parties.
During his speech, the Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces expressed his rejection of the rapprochement between the Syrian and Turkish governments during the Turkish occupation of large parts of Syrian territory, stressing that any step by the Syrian government at the moment towards rapprochement is considered normalization, and this is an evidence that the Syrian government is satisfied with the actions of Turkey and accepts its occupation of Syria.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces hailed the resistance of the displaced people of Afrin in al-Shahbaa district and Al-Sheikh Maqsoud and Al-Ashrafiyah neighborhoods, and the suffering of the people from the siege imposed by the Syrian government on the people and its prevention of the entry of fuel and medicines.
Abdi called on all peoples and political powers to unite their visions, stressing that the intra-Syrian dialogue is the only and optimal resolution for the Syrian crisis, noting that the SDF will face the Turkish policies, thwart its goals and liberate all the occupied Syrian regions.
The dialogue forum addresses three fundamental themes, the first theme is entitled “The reality of the Turkish state and the terrorists of hay’at Tahrir al-Sham regarding the Syrian crisis”, the second one is entitled “The implications of the Turkish-Syrian rapprochement with the terrorists of hay’at Tahrir al-Sham on the Syrian reality”, and the third one is entitled “The position of the Syrian people and the international community on the terrorists of hay’at Tahrir al-Sham”.
