The Co-chairwoman of the SDC talks about “The Trilateral Meeting” and its consequences for Syrians

The Co-chairwoman of the Syrian Democratic Council, Amina Omar, spoke about the trilateral meeting that brought together the defense ministers of Russia, Turkey and Syria in the Russian capital, Moscow, which paves the way for meetings at higher levels to reach normalization between Ankara and Damascus.

The speech of the Co-chairwoman of the SDC came during a joint symposium of the council with the Kurdistan Democratic Peace Party (one of the components of the SDC) under the title “The repercussions of the trilateral meeting and its impact on the Syrian political resolution” in the city of Amuda in northeastern Syria, where it was attended by an elite of intellectuals, politicians and interested people from the region.

After the leader of the Peace Party, Muslim Abbas, welcomed the attendees, the chairman of the Peace Party, Talal Muhammed, spoke at the beginning of the seminar about the Syrian crisis and the suffering of the Syrian people in light of regional and international interventions and the tensions that lasted during the path of the political process throughout the crisis in the country.

The Co-chairwoman of the Syrian Democratic Council, Amina Omar, spoke about the trilateral meeting that took place in Moscow and attempts at normalization between Ankara and Damascus under the auspices of Moscow, where Omar pointed to the motives of the three countries for this path, which does not care about the interests of the Syrian people and does not serve their just cause.

Omar added that Turkey, which intervened in the Syrian crisis and distorted the Revolution of the Syrian people demanding freedom and change into a paper for its expansionist interests in the region, so Turkey occupy large parts of the north territories of Syria and also its forces have killed Syrians to achieve its goals and agendas.

The Co-chairwoman of the SDC stressed that the path to resolving the Syrian crisis is obvious, which is through the intra-Syrian dialogue, the consensus of its democratic forces and in accordance with international decisions on the Syrian file, foremost of which is Resolution 2254, the end of the Turkish occupation of northern Syria and the return of displaced people and refugees to their places of origin.

The attendees participated by presenting their opinions and asking their inquiries on the path of the Kurdish – Kurdish dialogue, arranging the internal situation in Syria and preventing Turkey from intervention in the fate of the Syrian people through suspicious agreements.
