MSDThe Syrian Democratic Council extends its warmest congratulations and blessings on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr to all the Syrian people in the homeland and countries of asylum, hoping that the feast will be a source of joy and pleasure after the period which they have suffered from in light of the crisis.
We are as Syrians in dire need of reviving the meanings of Eid that are represented in tolerance, and we should begin to heal our wounds, end the tragedy of the Syrian people, secure a decent life worthy of their sacrifices, and fulfill the hopes of millions of Syrians in a new Syria free of oppression and alienation and Syria that embraces and reunites the daughters and sons of its people.
The Syrians are waiting for us to overcome the differences and side rivalries that exhausted them and took their lives, and we gather on a united position that would bring our country to safety through feasible and sustainable resolutions far from the circumstantial approaches that caused successive setbacks and prolonged the Syrian crisis.
We all hope that peace will prevail in Syria, and the joy of Eid will be completed with the release of detainees from prisons, and the return of the forcibly displaced people to their homes in all occupied areas of the country.
