The “SDC” and the Kurdish Leftist Party Discuss Political Developments with an Elite of Stakeholders

The Syrian Democratic Council and the Kurdish Leftist Party in Syria held a dialogue seminar to discuss the latest developments on the political arena. The dialogue seminar took place at the center of the “SDC” in the city of Al-Hasakah with the participation of intellectuals, politicians, representatives of political parties, and tribal leaders.

The seminar was begun by Dr. Hussein Al-Azzam, the Chairman of the Relations Bureau in Al-Jazeera, in which he discussed the current political stage and the accelerating events, starting from Arab normalization with the authorities in Damascus to the Astana conference and the role of its sponsors in prolonging the Syrian crisis.

Al-Azzam pointed out the attacks on northeastern Syria by Turkish drones and their threat to civilian lives, describing the Astana conference as an operations room for Turkish aggression on the region.

Muhammed Saleh Abdo, a member of the Political Bureau of the Kurdish Leftist Party in Syria, spoke about the repercussions of the Russo-Ukrainian war and its impact on the emergence of new alignments and unexpected alliances, including the Saudi-Iranian agreement and the restoration of relations between them.

“All of its orientations were hostile to the Autonomous Administration and the Syrian Democratic Forces.” Regarding the 20th Astana conference, Abdo said.
Muhammed Saleh considered the recent repeated attacks on civilians to have received covert support and approval by the guarantors of the Astana conference.

In a related context, Abdulwahab Berani, an administrator of the Union of Intellectuals in the Al-Jazeera region, stated that quota system still exists among the sponsoring countries of Astana, such as Iran, Russia, and Turkey. This has created a difficult political atmosphere that requires significant work and efforts by the Autonomous Administration. The resolution is contingent upon the real will of the regions of northeastern Syria to engage in an intra-Syrian dialogue, which has been and continues to be the only roadmap for ending the Syrian crisis.

Sheikh Abdullah Khalaf Al-Talla, a representative of the Bakara tribe, emphasized the importance of supporting the tribes in northeastern Syria to support the Autonomous Administration’s initiative and confront unjustified Turkish violations. He called on all political and tribal factions, as well as various spectrums, to stand together under the umbrella of the Syrian Democratic Council and support its efforts in finding a political resolution that guarantees civil peace and the unity of Syrian territory.

The Syrian Democratic Council and its constituent political parties are working to create a common ground for democratic Syrian powers and figures who believe in a political resolution through dialogue to achieve a new Syria.
