MSDUnder the auspices of the Syrian Democratic Council and upon the invitation of the Relations Bureau, a meeting was held today for the Coordination of Party Relations. The meeting was attended by representatives from the Co-chairmanship of the Civil Council of Raqqa, their deputy, and the Co-chairman of the Legislative Council in the city.
The meeting covered several topics, beginning with the discussion of the Syrian issue in light of regional and local circumstances. The first topic focused on the perspective of political parties regarding the Arab and Turkish normalizations with the authorities in Damascus, the quadripartite meetings, and the outcomes of the “Astana process”. They also explored possible scenarios and how to deal with them in accordance with the national vision.
The second topic discussed the challenges faced by the parties in achieving coordination and mutual communication among them and with local institutions. They emphasized the need to strengthen coordination to confront penetrations, face challenges, prevent targeting of the region, and achieve the Syrian democratic transition.
The third topic presented a set of proposals within the framework of discussing solutions, including:
1- Conducting coordination visits with political parties in Raqqa.
2- Organizing political dialogues and workshops to enhance political awareness within the political salon.
3- Holding workshops in cooperation with political parties under the supervision of experts and professionals on the administrative reform.
4- Supporting the dialogue platform in Raqqa by involving figures and making recommendations by all administrative institutions and influential figures in the city.
At the conclusion of the meeting, these proposals were approved and adopted for implementation in the upcoming phase as well as follow-up members were appointed from both mentioned parties to oversee their execution.
It is worth noting that this meeting is considered as the first of its kind for the coordination of political party relations within the SDC in the city of Raqqa, in collaboration with the Democratic Civil Administration of the city, under the auspices of the Syrian Democratic Council at the meeting hall of the SDC.
