The Zubeidiyah Waleda tribe hosted a significant Syrian clan Forum, emphasizing the principle of Syrian dialogue and calling for unity, harmony, social cohesion, and civil peace.
The Forum took place yesterday on the outskirts of Raqqa city, bringing together tribal leaders and elders from various Syrian governorates, in addition to elites, social figures, and representatives from civil and military administrations and the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC).
According to the organizers, the goal of the Forum is to spread love and peace to all Syrians to come together, establish civil peace, reject calls for violence, and avoid discord across the entire Syrian territory, from Suwayda to Idlib, Afrin, and Derik in the far northeast of Syria.
During the mass Forum, several speeches were delivered, starting with a speech by the Waleda tribe delivered by Dr. Jihad al-Khalaf, followed by a welcoming speech by Sheikh Hamed al-Faraj and Sheikh Mahmoud al-Boursan, the leaders of the Waleda tribe.
A political speech was also delivered by Hassan Muhammad Ali, a representative of the SDC at the Forum. He emphasized the importance of Raqqa with all its tribes and towns, as it managed to become an ideal model not only in Syria but also in the entire region.
“We moved towards the future Syria by starting from Raqqa with its diverse components, ethnicities, and tribes that have proven their unity and solidarity against strife,” Muhammad Ali said.
The Co-chairman of the Relations Bureau in the SDC, stated that this stage is critical and requires a cooperation among the tribes, that embrace everyone and symbolize generosity and giving, play a crucial role.
Hussein Othman, Co-chairman of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES), appreciated the Forum, stating that it is a call for unity in the face of challenges. He considered the new Social Contract issued by the General Council two days ago as an ideal solution for the problems of the Syrians, as it involved all the region’s residents.
In conclusion, the participants expressed the importance of such forums for achieving uniting among the masses and their administrations, preserving civil peace, avoiding mistakes, as well as facing internal and external pressures.
