The Syrian Federation of Organizations and Human Rights Bodies appeals to international community to stop Turkish violations in Afrin

On May 23, The Syrian Federation for Human Rights appealed to international community to work hard to stop constructing the separation wall around the occupied area of Afrin and to destroy what has been built, calling for all forms of pressure to force Turkish state and its mercenaries to withdraw and end occupation
The report of the Syrian Federation for Human Rights, which includes more than ninety bodies, institutions, centers and humanitarian organizations, mentions blatant violations of all principles and rules governing international law against Syrian region of Afrin and its inhabitants
The report also highlights the practices of Turkish state and its mercenaries from the beginning of the attack on 20 January 2018 until its military occupation in late March 2018, after the city of Afrin had been subjected to indiscriminate shelling of various types of ground and air weapons
The report includes documents relating to construction of separation wall around Afrin, as well as some images of scenes of destruction, vandalism, some links to scenes of cutting trees and house demolitions committed by Turkish occupation and its mercenaries
The report also mentions killings, displacement, deportation, exclusion, demolition of houses and institutions, terrorism and intimidation, restrictions on living, assaulting on places of worship and sanctities, and enactment of unfair laws against citizens as indirect crimes to force citizens to leave their cities and migrate outside Afrin
The report is based on international conventions and protocols and on provisions of international humanitarian law. The report concludes that everything done in Afrin region by Turkish state and its mercenaries is unlawful, illegal, is considered an occupation and contradicts the principles and purposes of United Nations and e law
The Syrian Federation for Human Rights concludes its report by making a number of recommendations calling upon United Nations and Security Council to intervene and end the state of occupation in Afrin, to reveal the fate of thousands of kidnapped and missing persons and releasing them all, to establish an independent and impartial judicial committee in Afrin, to document various crimes committed by Turkish state and its mercenaries, to facilitate the return of Afrin people, to enable them economically and socially, to invite international bodies and institutions concerned to meet life and economical needs of people, to do popular and legal actions to confront and stop increased dangers because of practices of the racist occupation forces which adopted enforced violent displacement and ethnic cleansing, and to stand firmly in the face of all practices that depend on demographic change to achieve goals and ethnic, racial interests to hit civil peace and coexistence
