The Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) along with the Association of political parties held on Wednesday a joint meeting in Raqqa. The purpose of this meeting was to review the outcomes of the SDC’s Fourth Conference and its political documents.
The meeting was held in accordance with the resolutions of the Association’s periodic meeting which was held on March 30, 2024. The Co-chairs of the SDC’s Public Relations Office along with the members of the SDC’s offices and the majority of the Association members representing the basic and sub-offices of the parties affiliated with the SDC.
Also, the members of the SDC’s Women’s Office and Relations Office attended the meeting and observed a moment of silence to remember the martyrs of freedom. Mustafa Othman, a member of the SDC’s Relations Office, chaired the meeting. Jihan Khedero, Head of the Women’s Office, delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of the national strategy proposed by the SDC. Khedero highlighted the need to unify efforts and visions with all Syrian powers and movements to achieve the Syrian democratic transition.
Also, Khedero discussed the practical procedures taken by the SDC recently. She highlighted the participation of new political movements and parties in the SDC, as well as the engagement of prominent national powers, organizations, and figures in it. These entities can contribute significantly to achieving the desired Syrian political solution.
Following this, the documents approved by the members of the SDC’s Fourth Conference were reviewed and endorsed by the SDC’s General Council. These documents included the SDC’s Internal Regulations, the Political Document, and the Roadmap for the resolution of the Syrian crisis.
The meeting was concluded with various presentations and inquiries. The responses provided during this meeting can be valuable for the upcoming stages. The Association members emphasized the importance of sharing these documents with the public.
