The Syrian Democratic Youth Council holds its first conference in Hasaka

On July 12, the Syrian Democratic Youth Council held its first conference in the city of Hasaka under the slogan “By Regulating and Uniting on the Principles of the Revolution, Syria Will be Freed” in the presence of hundreds of Syrian youth. In addition to youth presence, the Syrian Democratic Council, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, civil institutions and representatives of political parties attended, as well as representatives of Sweida and Homs youth. A number of speeches were delivered during the conference. The words praised the role of the youth in achieving and preserving gains, considering the youth as community spirit and its living energy in building a new Syria. The Syrian Democratic Council also had a speech delivered by the Vice Co-presidency, Gabriel Shamoun, highlighting the role played by the youth of Northern and Eastern Syria in achieving gains. During his speeech, Shamoun talked about the project, led by the Syrian Democratic Council, and its dependence on youth in building a decentralized democratic Syria. Shamoun continued saying that the Syrian Democratic Council seeks to resolve the Syrian crisis according to its political track and international decisions through dialogue, negotiation and community participation. In the second section of the conference, the annual report of the Syrian Democratic Youth Council and its internal system was read, evaluated and constructive comments were made to be proved in the final version of rules of procedure. At the end of the conference, the General Council of 34 members was formed after elections The Co- Presidency of the Council is to be elected at the first meeting of the new Council.
