The Women Office of the Syrian Democratic Council organized a lecture in al- Makhroum town of al-Hasakeh countryside yesterday to talk about the latest political developments in Northern and Eastern Syria.
In the presence of dozens of women in the town and Women Offices of Self-Administrarion institutions in al-Makhroum, Fidan Khalil and Bayan Abdo, members of the Women Office, gave a lecture to explain the latest political developments in Syria in general and in Northern and Eastern Syria in particular.
The lecture started by talking about the developments in the Syrian crisis after eight years and the prospects for a political solution and its courses.
The lecture also touched on the “security mechanism” which was agreed upon in full coordination with the Syrian Democratic Forces and the mechanism of conducting joint patrols “American-Turkish” in the region.
In this regard, the administrator and member of the Women Officer, Fidan Khalil, talked about the real intentions of Turkish state, pointing out that the threats of Turkish state are still continuing despite of entry into force the common understandings. This means that Turkish state main objective is to invade and occupy areas in Northeast Syria and not protecting its borders as it pretends.
In turn, Bayan Abdo, member of the Women Office pointed out to importance of role of women in society, in addition to highlighting the problems faced by women in light of ongoing war in Syria and their need to participate in the political process.
Abdo stressed on that the project of Self-Aministration is the most appropriate project to achieve security and stability in Syria and the whole region and to achieve for women the favored position that enables them to be active and leading in leadership of society.
The participants, in turn, expressed the importance of these lectures in light of the huge amount of false news that tries to stir up public opinion and turning over the facts. The participants asked many questions and queries related to the current situation of women.
