The President of the Executive Committee of the Syrian Democratic Council, Ilham Ahmed, met with members of the Senate in the US Congress in Washigton , DC, to discuss the Turkish aggression and its continuation in North and East Syria.
Ahmed met with Republican Senator Kevin Kramer and the Democratic Senator of Congress Tim Keane.
During a meeting with members of Congress, the president of the Executive Committee of SDC, Ilham Ahmed, discussed the Turkish aggression on north and east Syria and its undermining of security and stability in the areas that host more than five million Syrians.
Ahmad made senators to know about the repercussions of the Turkish aggression on north Syria and the contribution of the Turkish invasion to escaping of a number of ISIS members detained in north and east Syria.
The President of the Executive Committee called upon members of the US Senate to press for ending the Turkish occupation of north and east Syria and prevent it from ethnic cleansing against the components of the region.
She also called members of the two parties in the US Senate to protect areas of north and east Syria and support Self-Administration, which is an advanced democratic experience in the north of the country.
