The Syrian Democratic Council

Statement to Public Opinion

Two days after the Turkish Defense Ministry announced the end of the Turkish military operation in north and east Syria, Turkey and its mercenaries began new attacks on the area of Ein Issa, which is outside the agreement to establish a safe zone with a depth of 32 km in order to control the international road M4 and separating of north Syria from its east.
This attack led to displacement of thousands of civilians and losing some lives despite the achievement of ceasefire agreements and the recognition of both Russia and the United States that the SDF has fulfilled its obligations in this regard.
The Turkish attacks are not a surprise, but rather to confirm that the Turkish state continues to implement its plans to cut off Syrian territory and occupy it gradually through false reasons through which Turkey wants to deceive the world.
The Erdogan government continues to mess around the Syrian geography by implementing demographic change that threatens the country’s political and social future.
These dangerous Turkish moves put Russia, the United States, and all the international powers in charge of standing up in face of Turkey because such moves will bring woes to the whole region and the world.
We in the Syrian Democratic Council call upon all Syrian powers to unite against these actions that target all people and we call on the international community to press on the Turkish state to stop its attacks, abide by the ceasefire and create a safe environment so that IDPs can return to their areas.
