Statement to Public Opinion

After a series of attacks on North and East Syria by the Turkish occupation and committing massacres against the safe population. Such massacres are added to the record of the government of Justice and Development which is full of massacres. There is a new massacre committed against people of Tal Ra’afat, where this area exposed to a new massacre on Monday 2/12/2019, in which there are 10 martyres, dozens of wounded, mostly children and civilians. We in the Syrian Democratic Council condemn in the strongest terms this massacre, which was added to the record of massacres committed by the government of Justice and Development against our people in North and East Syria.This massacre affirms to the world that Turkey has a large occupation project to North and East Syria. This massacre comes with the efforts of the international community to solve the Syrian crisis in accordance with the relevant UN resolutions and its implementation. The subject of establishing a safe zone by the Turkish state is unrelated to security and stability, but to look for a safe zone to practice killing, destruction and occupation in it. The aim of committing such massacres is to intimidate and terrorize the population in order to displace and leave their areas to complete the process of demographic change and ethnic cleansing pursued by the Turkish state. On this basis, we call upon the international community, alliance states and Russian Federation to press on the government of Justice and Development to stop its aggression and condemning these crimes against our people. We urge our people to work hand in hand to stand against this aggression on our regions with all their components, we also call upon the Syrian government and the Russian forces which are existing in that region to take the necessary procedures to prevent such attacks immediately and working with all parties for a political solution in Syria away from foreign agenda.
