This morning, the Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League, Mr. Hossam Zaki, met at the headquarter of the Arab League, the representative of the Syrian Democratic Council in the Arab Republic of Egypt, Sihanouk Dibo.
Dibo shared His Excellency, Assistant Secretary-General, the vision of the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) for the Syrian solution, the project of self-administration, the role of the Syrian Democratic Forces in countering terrorism, promoting civil peace, and moving towards a united Syria and its belief in joint work with the Syrian national opposition that believes in Syrian solution away from narrow agendas by some regional countries like Turkey. Dibo also talked about the necessity of a role of the Arab League in light of threats to the region and Arab countries, especially Turkish threats and its occupation of areas in northern Syria.
For his part, the Assistant Secretary-General welcomed the visit, and stressed the need to communicate and show the reality of the vision of the Syrian Democratic Council and refute the allegations and positions raised about its role, and also with regard to Kurdish demands and prevent a gap about this. Ambassador Zaki also affirmed the support of the Arab League to the Syrian national opposition, which believes in solving the Syrian crisis, in accordance with its political track and relevant international legitimacy resolutions
