Riyad Darrar, the co-chair of the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC), sent a message to residents and people of the eastern region of Syria.
Darrar pointed to the efforts of some parties to create sedition and drag the region into a conflict between the Kurds and the rest of the people, adding that the sacrifices made by the Kurds in the SDF are for the sake of resurrecting the unified Syrian entity and establishing a democratic system that eliminates the legacy of tyranny to which Syria has been subjected for decades since sixties of last century.
Darrar continued that these incitements and the pursuit of discord are backed by Turkish special war forces and Syrians who failed the revolution and mortgaged it to the enemies of the Syrian national project. Realizing that there must be a responsible dealing for outstanding issues before things becomes worse.
On the issue of school curricula and their objectors, Darrar said that it is possible to get to an understanding about them because some of objectors want the curricula of the regime to remain. This does not deserve to be a justification for sedition, and solutions can be found.
In his message, the co- chair of the Syrian Democratic Council addressed the issue of participation and administration, where he said:
“The issue of participation and administration is in place, but it needs to develop and accommodate the largest number and provide services that revive the region, this work is being delayed by the presence of some corrupt people who take advantage of historical transformations in stages of conflict and war.”
Darrar pointed out that the racist mentality that distinguishes between the components must be harnessed because it serves sedition and seeks to control part of the people at the expense of equality among them, and serves the return of extremists as a result, and that any imbalance now may make the regime the beneficiary because it is the closest to interfere with the Iranians, and that Astana trio is not away from standing behind these works.
The co-chair of SDC concluded his message by saying:
“I believe that the forces of the region and the wise men can handle these matters without seeking chaos that will only serve the enemies and extremism.”
